Let’s Dye Yarn In this fun class you will learn how to dye a single skein of yarn to create an identical pair of socks.
If socks aren’t your thing then you can use your yarn for a hat or scarf or shawl.

Kathryn will show you how to create a yarn with lots of skinny stripes or crazy spots or a gorgeous gradient. The
class includes one skein of 4 ply, 400m 75% Merino/25% Nylon or 100% Merino. If you have been dying (pun
intended) to try dyeing yarn, this is the perfect class for you! You will be able to purchase more yarn on the day. 

Dive into mosaic knitting, a striking technique that creates bold, geometric patterns using slipped stitches and
just one colour per row. In this class, you’ll learn to read mosaic charts, manage colour changes, and knit
swatches to practice the technique with confidence.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to make a felt drum lamp shade with a finished diameter of 25cm. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, with no prior felting experience needed. You’ll be guided step-by-step through fibre layout, wet felting and fulling techniques, learning how to create strong, even felt suitable for lighting.

By the end of the session, you’ll take home a completed felt lamp shade ready to use on a lamp base at home. All materials and equipment are provided.

 Whether you’d like to design your own Aran patterns or are simply curious about how these classic textures are created, this class is for you. We’ll explore the art of Aran knitting, known for its cables, twists, diamonds, and honeycomb, and learn how these elements work together.

Embroidery on a Felted Pouch In this fun and relaxing class you will embellish a felted pouch with wool embroidery.
You will learn how to transfer an embroidery design onto a piece of felted fabric and then you will create a gorgeous
embroidered floral design using hand dyed embroidery threads.

 Discover the versatility of the waistcoat stitch in this 3-hour workshop with Kathy Vasic of Driftwood Cottage Designs. Designed for intermediate crocheters, this session introduces a technique that creates a dense, beautiful fabric and works especially well in the round and with colourwork. 

Often overlooked, the waistcoat stitch mimics the look of knitting while remaining uniquely crochet, making it a fun and valuable addition to your skill set.  Wet felting is a creative, hands-on art form that lets you design and make truly unique felt pieces. In this masterclass, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wet felting while creating a simple flower brooch and a cloche, concertina, or small-brimmed JAMB hat using Australian fine merino wool. 

You’ll experiment with colour, texture, and design while exploring the possibilities of felt. Sessions are relaxed and supportive with plenty of guidance and time to connect with your creativity. You’ll learn how to assess colour combinations, how to use a colour wheel without feeling overwhelmed, and a handful
of simple strategies for building palettes that feel balanced and wearable. We’ll talk about contrast, harmony, and how
small changes can make a big difference – especially in colourwork and multi-yarn projects.

This class is about building confidence in your own eye, trusting your instincts, and giving yourself permission to
experiment before committing to a whole project.

Suitable for crocheters of all levels, this session explores how to use the yarn’s built-in pops of colour to create a striking, elegant shawl. You’ll work with simple stitch patterns, colour placement, and shaping while learning how to make blossoms or buds appear using a hybrid popcorn stitch at key colour sections of hand-dyed yarn. Guided step by step, you’ll begin a narrow triangle shawl, finished with tassels or left simple. Leave inspired, confident, and with the start of a beautiful new piece for your wardrobe.

This class focuses on the techniques that make all the difference — invisible seaming, neat and secure ends, perfect
edgings, picking up stitches with confidence, blocking, sewing on buttons, polished cast-off techniques, and adding
I-cords. Packed with practical tips, clever shortcuts, and expert tricks, you will learn how to choose the best finishing
method for each project and achieve a polished, long-lasting finish every time. 

In this class you will learn how to embroider a wool embroidery design onto a knitted fabric. You can choose to work on knitted swatches or a finished garment. You will learn how to transfer a design onto knitted fabric and all the stitches required to complete the design provided. All the hand dyed embroidery threads will be provided for this inspiring and creative deep dive into wool embroidery.

Swatching can feel like an unnecessary extra step – until it saves you from a sweater that doesn’t fit, sleeves that grow, or yarn that behaves very differently than you expected. 

We’ll look at why swatching matters, the different kinds of swatches you might need, and how to make swatches that
actually tell you something useful. You’ll learn how to measure stitches and rows accurately, how to spot potential issues early, and what to do when your gauge doesn’t quite match the pattern. By the end, you’ll understand how to use swatching as a tool – not a chore – so you can cast on with confidence and fewer surprises along the way.

 If your knitting pulls, sags, rides up, or refuses to sit where you want it to, this class is for you. Real bodies aren’t flat, symmetrical, or static—and our knitting shouldn’t pretend they are. You’ll explore shaping for boobs, bums, and tums, and how small, thoughtful adjustments can dramatically improve fit at the front, back, and through the middle. You’ll learn who benefits from extra shaping, how to recognise when it’s needed, and simple, approachable ways to add it without overcomplicating your knitting. Leave with practical tools, a clearer understanding of your body’s proportions, and the confidence to adapt patterns so they work with your shape. 

In this workshop, you will stitch a design based on “Twelve Landscapes”, a temari pattern created by Rika
from NONA, where temari is paired with haiku poetry. From this collection, we will embroider a motif
inspired by Gantansō, a seasonal flower traditionally associated with the New Year in Japan. 

You will place your finished temari into a traditional Japanese porcelain sake cup, transforming it into a unique pin cushion—a beautiful and practical companion for your needlework. All materials and equipment provided
